Nayantara’s fans, who got to see the
‘homely’ side of hers in her recent hit film Idhu Namma Aalu (whose
release was delayed by more than two years for various reasons), have
been literally floored by her ever-so-casual glam-filled appearance in
her upcoming film Iru Mugan opposite Vikram.
Nayan, who played a heavily pregnant
women in the 2014 hit film Anamika (Nee Enge En Anbe), has been dazzling
in a variety of roles for the past few years and has the knack of
getting into the skin of her role in whatever script is offered to her.
It is her sheer hard-work coupled with an unwavering determination to
succeed which has kept her on top of her trade despite her age being in
the early thirties.
She gets to pair up opposite the
national award-winning actor Vikram in Iru Mugan which is directed by
Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi fame. A still photograph of the film
released by the crew yesterday depicts Vikram and Nayantara in a
romantic pose. Vikram appears as a stylish Romeo but it was Nayan who
easily takes the cake with her ultra-chic look and eye-catching
costumes.
The photo, depicting Vikram lying on
Nayan’s lap where she bends over as if kissing him, looks very decent
but is amazingly romantic. Nayan’s flowing hair, her pair of shorts and a
stylish top has given her a vastly different look than the looks she
sported in her recent films. Anand Shankar has said that he is happy
that he has Vikram and Nayantara – who are known for their commitments –
in the lead.
