The Madras High Court issued notices to actor Rajnikanth, director
K.S.Ravikumar among others for alleged theft of script of the movie
'Lingaa'.The notice was issued following a petition filed by K.R.Ravi
Rathnam, an aspiring filmmaker who alleged that 'Lingaa' was based on
the script that he had written for 'Mullaivaanam 999', based on the
construction of the Mullaperiyar dam.
According to him the script was stolen when he uploaded a video related to it in the Youtube. Rajnikanth was issued notice because he held the distribution rights of the film. The court though has not refused to interfere in the music release of the movie scheduled for the 19 th
